Mission Systems Engineering Branch enables scientific discovery and technology advancement by providing end-to-end systems engineering for the NASA Exploration and Science activities that span the entire life cycle from advanced concepts through implementation. Services Include:
- Mission Concept Development- Mission Architecture Development
- Requirements, Risk, and Configuration Management
- Risk Mitigation and Anomaly Resolution Strategies
Branch Members provide technical leadership for all flight (spacecraft, instrument, launch vehicle) and ground system elements, including end-to-end data flow from the instrument / detector to the scientific end-user. Many of our members serve as the Engineering Technical Authorities, the senior AETD technical leadership position for their respective missions.
